Manually emailed instructions to knit a newborn baby button-up bodysuit with matching beanie hat and socks, all worked in a simple eyelet stitch pattern.
This is a single-size knitting pattern, written specifically for newborn babies and knitted in DK (Double Knitting) yarn. The bodysuit fastens with buttons, making it practical and easy to dress, while the coordinating hat and socks complete the set beautifully.
There are separate instructions for a boy and a girl. The socks are knitted on straight needles and include fully written heel-shaping instructions, making them suitable for knitters who prefer clear, step-by-step guidance.
This pattern is the original newborn version of our much-loved bodysuit design. The premature version proved so popular that larger sizes were created by request. As a result, this style is now available in four separate size patterns, each with its own listing and clearly distinguished images.
This newborn bodysuit pattern also forms part of Knitting Pattern Book 1, which contains all four original DK bodysuit patterns together at a reduced price compared to purchasing individually.
